Abstract	This is an inventory of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic type material in the original palaeobotanical collections of the Nationaal Natuurhistorisch Museum, Leiden, The Netherlands. In total 60 holotypes are documented and one is noted as missing from the collections. One new combination is made (Cinnamomum javanicum (Goeppert) nov. comb.) and several species are considered to be conspecific.
