Abstract	A new species of Sinularia from the Seychelles is described and depicted: S. vanderlandi. Species with colony morphology and sclerites similar to that of S. vanderlandi are discussed. Sinularia intacta Tixier-Durivault, 1970, S. rotundata Tixier-Durivault, 1970, and S. molesta Tixier-Durivault, 1970, are considered to be synonyms; S. molesta is here selected as the valid name.
