Abstract	A new species of stylasterid coral, Distichopora vervoorti, is described from shallow water off Bali, Indonesia. Although similar to D. irregularis in having meandering pore rows, it differs from that species in colony and branch shape, coenosteal colour, and expression of the ampullae.
