Abstract	A new species of the neotropical reduviid genus Salyavata Amyot & Serville, 1843, Salyavata macmahanae spec. nov. is described from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Belize and Mexico. Salyavata variegata Amyot & Serville, 1843, is reported for the first time from Suriname.
