Abstract	A fertile specimen of "Cladocarpus" multiseptatus (Bale, 1915) from the continental slope off Sahara coast is redescribed. The species is referred to the genus Streptocaulus Allman, 1883 where it should stand as Streptocaulus multiseptatus (Bale, 1915). This record confirms its presence in Atlantic waters.
