Abstract	A new genus and species of intertidal octocoral is described from the Pacific coast of North America. The new taxon is placed in the stolonbearing family Clavulariidae, and although superficially similar in appearance to species in both the genera Clavularia and Sarcodictyon, it exhibits some unique characters to differentiate it from these taxa.
