Abstract	The Palaearctic species of the family Embolemidae (Hymenoptera: Chrysidoidea) are revised. In all nine species are recognized in the genus Embolemus Westwood, 1833 s.l., two are new to science: Embolemus reticulatus spec. nov. from The Netherlands and E. niger spec. nov. from Bhutan. The genus Ampulicomorpha Ashmead, 1893, is synonymized with Embolemus Westwood, 1833 (syn. nov.) and a key to the Palaearctic species of Embolemidae is given. Ampulicomorpha pecki Olmi, 1998, is renamed as Embolemus olmii nom. nov.
