INTRODUCTION
The present paper is the third in a series intended to present a review of the Surinam representatives of the Loricariid armoured catfishes (Loricariidae), of which the previous two dealt with the Surinam species belonging to the genus Hypostomus Lacépède (Boeseman, 1968, 1969).
