AbstractA new species of the ostracode genus Eusarsiella (Myodocopida, Sarsiellidae) is described from a marine lava tube in Lanzarote (Canary Islands) and compared with other species known to occur in the same geographical area. Eusarsiella bedoyai n. sp. is the second species in that genus described from anchialine caves. Its importance in determining the origin of the stygobiont fauna is briefly discussed.
