Abstract	Two watermite species new to the Dutch fauna and new records of rare species (Acari: Hydrachnidia) Two species of water mites new for the Dutch fauna are reported, i.e. Unionicola inusitata and Neumania verrucosa. Moreover, new localities for a number of rare species are given. Together with these new records, the number of water mite species in the Netherlands adds up to 246.
