Abstract	The genera of the subfamily Microtypinae are revised and two new genera are described and illustrated. Plesiotypus gen. nov. (type species: P. depressus spec. nov.) from India and Neomicrotypus gen. nov. (type species: N. penai spec, nov.) from Chile. Keys to the genera of Microtypinae and to the species of Plesiotypus are added. Plesiotypus fullawayi (Beardsley, 1961) is a new combination.
