Abstract	Lygosoma keiensis Kopstein, 1926 is demonstrated to be a junior primary homonym of Lygosoma cyanogaster keiensis Sternfeld, 1918. The junior homonym, now placed in Sphenomorphus, is given the replacement name S. capitolythos, and redescribed from the holotype, the only known specimen.
