Abstract	A new species of Astrogorgia from Bali, Indonesia, is described and depicted. An amended diagnosis of the genus is presented and a related genus is discussed. Compared with other species of Astrogorgia, specimens of the new species have a rather unusual bushy growth form, and very small sclerites.
