Abstract	The type series of Schizotricha anderssoni Jäderhoim, 1904, collected by the Swedish Antarctic Expedition 1901-1903 and deposited in the collections of the Swedisch National Museum, Stockholm, is redescribed. The type series is composed of two species, the species figured by Jäderhoim (1905) is designated the lectotype of Schizotricha anderssoni. The second species, differing from the other species of the genus, is described as Schizotricha jaederholmi spec. nov.
