Abstract	Six new species of micro-caddisfly (Trichoptera: Hydroptilidae) are described from southern Sulawesi in the genera Chrysotrichia (1 species), Niuginitrichia (1, being the first record of Niuginitrichia outside New Guinea), Hydroptila (1) and Orthotrichia (3). The faunal list for Sulawesi is increased further by addition of a second widespread SE Asian species of Oxyethira and three other species of Orthotrichia; and distributions of several species previously recorded from the island are extended. Thirty-one hydroptilid species in eight genera are now recorded for Sulawesi; a ninth genus is listed, but solely on the basis of larvae.
