Abstract	This paper deals with four cricetid genera that were formerly assembled under the genus names Democricetodon and Fahlbuschia. Four new species are described, Fahlbuschia decipiens, Fahlbuschia corcolesi, Renzimys lacombai, and Pseudofahlbuschia jordensi gen. nov., sp. nov. The material studied is placed in its stratigraphic context, and appears to be most valuable for a stratigraphic subdivision of the Aragonian. The evolution and paleoecology are discussed.
