AbstractThree new species of Anthoathecatae (Cnidaria, Hydrozoa) of the rare genus Clathrozoella Stechow, 1921, Clathrozoella abyssalis spec. nov., C. bathyalis spec. nov. and C. medeae spec. nov., are described from New Zealand and Antarctic waters. Along with the previously known C. drygalskii (Vanhöffen, 1910) the genus Clathrozoella now numbers four species. Details of the skeleton, hydranths, nematocysts and gonophores are described and discussed, as is also the position of the newly established family Clathrozoellidae.
