The occurrence of Endothenia oblongana in The Netherlands is confirmed, both by the discovery of old material and by new records. Several specimens were collected in rich grasslands in the coastal dunes, near villages, characterised by extensive human activities and a rich vegetation, with a unique lepidopterous fauna. Data on morphology, biology and distribution of this species and the closely related E. gentianaeana and E. marginana are given.
