A key to the Dutch spider wasps (Hymenoptera: Pompilidae) A key to the 65 species of spider wasps from the Netherlands, plus some additional species, is presented. It is the first key to the Dutch species since Wilcke (1943). The key is preceded by some remarks on morphology, techniques and a check list to the Dutch species. Arachnospila ausa has been removed from the list. The presence on the list was based on two voucher specimens in the Maastricht museum (nhm), one female which could not be traced and a male, which proved to be A. spissa. All Dutch species have received a Dutch common name. Brief information on body length, phenology and habitat and frequency is given. The recent book ‘De wespen en mieren van Nederland’ (Peeters et al. 2004) is recommended for more biological information.
