| Abstract | The Afrotropical genus Dicronorhina Hope (= Dicranorrhina auctorum, unjustified emendation) is diagnosed and discussed. The characters of the species, subspecies and varieties are examined, and presented in a synoptic table and in an analytical key. An annotated checklist of the species, subspecies and varieties is given. Three species are recognized; in one species, five subspecies are recognized. Several varieties are discussed. Two new varietal names are proposed.
A key to the genera of larger Afrotropical Goliathini with horned males is given. The phylogeny of the Dicronorhina species and their position among the other Afrotropical Coryphocerina is briefly discussed. |
