Introduction This paper is a continuation of two published under the same title.
A chronological reference list of all regional forms of the genus Thyreus is contained in the first part of this revision (1958, Nova Guinea, new ser., 9 : 21-30). The second part, dealing with a single species of eastern distribution, T. nitidulus (F.), was published one year later in the same journal (1959, new ser., 10 : 99-130).
