| Abstract | In this revision of the genus Lobophytum 46 valid species are recorded. Owing to my visits to several museums I could examine most type-specimens; of only four holotypes (L. batarum, L. borbonicum, L. lighti and L. rotundum) the depository is unknown to me. One new species, L. hapalolobatum, is described. A list of invalid synonyms and varieties is inserted, and five keys may be helpful in identifying the corals. |
