| Abstract | The Western Atlantic species formely assigned to the (sub)genera Mithrax and Mithraculus are revised. Mithrax and Mithraculus are treated here as two distinct genera based on seven (relative) constant generic characters, keys to the various species are given. All species are discussed with full account of their synonymy and distribution. |
