AbstractA new species of gecarcinucoid crab, Parathelphusa reticulata spec. nov. is described from blackwater swamps in Singapore. Parathelphusa reticulata is characterized by its relatively small adult size, diagnostic colour pattern, swollen carapace physiognomy, anterolateral armature, male abdominal structure and sharply tapering male first pleopod. This species appears to be closely allied to the poorly known P. maindroni from Sumatra.
