New Bolboceratine genera from southwestern Africa (Coleoptera: Geotrupidae)

Two new genera, endemic in southwestern Africa, are diagnosed: Prototrupes, for Bolboceras copridoides Kolbe (type-species) and Bolboceras kochi Paulian; Namibiotrupes for Namibiotrupes penrithae sp. nov. The species of Prototrupes are keyed, illustrated, and some new material is recorded. Namibiotrupes penrithae from the Namib Desert Park is described and illustrated. The two genera are characterized by enlarged antennal clubs.
