| Abstract | A new species of hippolytid shrimp, Lebbeus africanus spec. nov. is described from the continental slope off Mauritania, eastern Atlantic. A comparison with related species is made. Lebbeus bidentatus Zarenkov, 1976, L. carinatus Zarenkov, 1976, L. curvirostris Zarenkov, 1976, and L. saldanhae Barnard, 1947, are redescribed and their taxonomic status is discussed. |
