The systematic position of the genera Ecnomios Mason from New Guinea and Pselaphanus Szépligeti from Brazil and Surinam is discussed; both genera are redescribed and figured. The new subfamily Ecnomiinae (for Ecnomios Mason, 1979) and the new tribe Pselaphanini of the subfamily Agathidinae (for Pselaphanus Szépligeti, 1902) are erected.
