Some Upogebiidae (Crustacea, Decapoda) in the collection of the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie, Leiden

Unidentified specimens of the genus Upogebia in the collection of the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie in Leiden were studied. A ♀ from Angola proved to be closely related to U. subspinosa; it is indicated here as U. aff. subspinosa. U. savignyi is reported for the first time from the Persian Gulf. U. cargadensis, and U. ancylodactyla are recoreded for the first time from the Red Sea.
