Cyathura (Stygocyathura) beroni Andreev, 1982, originally described from caves in the Western and Chimbu Provinces of Papua New Guinea (main island) was rediscovered in a cave on New Britain. A few characters of the New Britain specimens were in disagreement with the original description, but comparison with a ♀ paratype makes it likely that they are conspecific.
