The material studied was mainly collected during Dr. P. WAGENAAR HUMMELINCK’S voyages to the West Indies (1930, 1936/37, 1948/49, 1955, 1963/64, 1967), and on a special entomological collecting trip by Dr. Ir. R. H. COBBEN (1956/57). Some specimens of the Zoologiske Museum at Copenhagen and the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie at Leiden were also studied. Unless otherwise stated, a date in the years 1956 and 1957 indicates specimens collected by Dr. COBBEN, and a date in another year specimens collected by Dr. HUMMELINCK. As in the author’s former papers on Antillean water-bugs (NIESER 1967, 1969) THIS CONTRIBUTION ALSO DEALS WITH SPECIMENS COLLECTED ON OTHER CARIBBEAN ISLANDS.
