Length 51 mm., breadth at the shoulders 17 mm., length of the antennae 54 mm. — Black, covered with a delicate fulvous pubescence, the elytra however with five naked narrow transverse bands of which the first is situated at one third from the base; along the suture and the lateral margins, on the legs and along the middle of the abdomen the pubescence is of a more greyish colour; the antennae are black, the joints ringed with grey at their base. Impunctate. The scape of the antennae slightly scabrous towards the top on the outside. The disc of the pronotum with some transverse waved wrinkles and two patches of small granules; an abbreviated bare stripe runs along the middle; the lateral spines are long and acute and curved backwards. The scutellum is broadly rounded at the tip.
