Description of a new species of the Lepidopterous genus Thestias

Uppersurface of body black-gray; undersurface of head with palpi and of thorax pale yellow, that of abdomen white; legs yellow, tarsi brownish; antennae black above, white beneath, the tip pale brown; eyes brown. The base of the forewing is covered with a grayish brown dust; the top is equally black-brown with a narrow short orange-yellow slightly curved band, beginning at the centre of the costa (where the colour is more pure yellow) and followed by two transverse larger orangeyellow spots, of which the first is provided near the outer margin with a black-brown spot; the second is dissolved into two small orange-yellow spots. The colour of the undescribed triangular part of the forewing is yellowish white.
