The authors point out the occurrence of Angelica archangelica L. in the northern part of the Netherlands. The species was found there for the first time in 1961 on the IJsselmeer dam; in 1963 it appeared near Oostmahorn (prov. Friesland), and in 1966 near Schokkerhaven (Noordoostpolder). Moreover the species was noticed in two of the Frisian Islands viz. Terschelling (1961) and Ameland (1962). In most of the mentioned localities A. archangelica has established itself.
