TitleCeratobasidium albasitensis. A new Rhizoctonia-like fungus isolated in Spain
JournalPersoonia - Molecular Phylogeny and Evolution of Fungi
AbstractCeratobasidium albasitensis is described as a new species based on morphological data and on phylogenetic reconstruction from rDNA sequences, including representatives of other related species. Isolates of this species were found in several localities within Albacete province (SE of Spain). This taxon is part of the Rhizoctonia s.l. species complex and is placed in the genus Ceratobasidium (Stat. Anam. = Ceratorhiza) on account of its macro- and micromorphological features. In addition, two new methods to induce sexual sporulation on plates are described.
