AbstractAdditional data are given on synonymy and hosts. The ubiquitous species commonly known as Phoma prunicola (Opiz) Wollenw. & Hochapf., a later homonym of Phoma prunicola Schw., is renamed Phoma pomorum Thüm. Phoma indianensis (Deshpande & Mantri) Boerema & al. appears to be conspecific with Phoma glumarum Ell. & Tracy described earlier; its occurrence on rice seed is widespread.
