With the advantage of starting a new volume with this issue, we have decided to make some changes. Technology doesn’t stop and with the modern way of desktop publishing, we thought that we could offer a more pleasing journal by changing the format of the Bulletin, its lay-out, and various other minor points. Among the more drastic changes is the deletion of the chapters on the Algae and the Fungi & Lichens in the Bibliography, as we threatened to do in the last issue. Very few protests were received on our announcement to do this, so apparently there was no need to laboriously discover (not being specialists in these subjects) whether a certain taxon belongs to the Malesian flora or not.
