The Government of Indonesia had received a grant of US$7.2 dollars from GEF through the World Bank and this grant was supplemented by US$4.2 million from the Indonesian Government for the biodiversity collections project at Puslitbang Biologi. A similar proposal will be submitted to the World Bank/GEF for a coral reef project. The MacArthur Foundation is being asked to support an ethnobotanical workshop in 1996 covering Indonesia, Philippines, and Malaysia.
