The reasons for this new chapter have been given in the Editorial. No undescribed taxa will be accepted, these should be published elsewhere, as the Flora Malesiana Bulletin is not to be regarded as an effective publication in the nomenclatural sense. The list, moreover, would be too long and the work to extract them from the vast literature too burdensome. Such information will be mentioned, as before, in the chapter on Progress or in the Bibliography.
